Presentation Video

South Waterfront Project

  1. Danielle,
It was great to see your video. You did a nice job explaining the rationale of your ideas and leading the viewer through the graphics. The personal tour gives a strong feeling of your personality. A few suggestions for the final version:
    - The subtitles are good to break up the different parts of your presentation.
    - The final sentence about your project objective voiced over the project title is very strong. You could place it at the front of the video as an introduction, including your name, perhaps a note about the context (School, thesis studio, work-in-progress project, date). Then at the end, recap the main ways that your project achieves the objective and make sure you have your contact info visible. (permanent gmail/hotmail account?)
    - I liked where you cut in the powerful rendering from the riverfront. You could try interspersing slides of other renderings with the live video of you pointing out parts of the design. Seeing the slides as full frame, digital panning or Ken Burns' zooms could show off their quality nicely.

Thanks for your efforts to communicate your ideas. Your blog posts show a high degree of care.

  2. Dani,

I too was impressed with your video and the degree with which you led the viewer through the process definitely fits your personality as well. I hope you also consider Human Design (for medical devices) in the future!

Thanks for sharing, although I have a project for you as well designing a mother-in-law house for us that is both energy efficient, space efficient, and makes use of reclaimed material.

    Respectfully,

    Dennis
